If you are just now stumbling onto the A to Z's of me, then allow me to catch you up. Valentine's Day, 2010 marked the beginning of my journey that came to completion the following February 14, 2011. During that year I dedicated my life to my project, A to Z with Meryl and Me. This path consisted of me acting my way through 26 scenes from Meryl Streep movies or in two cases creating scenarios about the process of the project. I watched all of the randomly selected movies, then cast, produced and churned them out one by one on a bi-weekly basis. They were aired on youtube, my blog, facebook, twitter, linkedin, and anywhere else I could think of to allow folks to not only see my own acting work but the work of my many extremely talented costars. In addition to professional actors, I also had professional crew members at my side every step of the way. The project truly showcased all who participated. In my blog, I wrote and continue to write about the many folks involved sharing stories about the surprises, the obstacles and outcomes. To think not a penny was spent on these wonderful actors and little was spent on crew and equipment. A meal and a write up in my blog was often the only thanks they got. They truly took the “will work for food” motto to the next level. My undying thanks goes out to every person who bothered to watch or read, to every generous soul who provided a location, to each cast and crew member, you are all the best. Don't try to figure out how it's possible that you're all the best, just take my word for it.

Meryl Streep has played so many real people and is even working on portraying Margaret Thatcher as I write this. As the luck of the draw would have it I too, therefore, got the opportunity to play some amazing women including Susan Orlean, Lindy Chamberlain, Carrie Fisher, Nora Ephron, Karen Silkwood and Julia Child. Since the seed of the idea to do A to Z came from watching the movie, Julie and Julia, it was only fitting that I chose a scene from that not so randomly selected movie as my finale.

During this year one of my goals was to master more accents and I had the opportunity to do some I had never tried before including dialects from Minnesota, Australia and Italy. It was my pleasure to have tearful scenes (T), humorous scenes (Q), even an animated scene (G) and scenes that meant so much to me for very personal reasons (O). I even had a scene where I did not act at all but just played the character as if she were me (D) and it was so fun! I guess you could say that while I was learning all of this, I was doing just that … having fun. I am blessed and will never forget this past year. I hope you watch and read and comment and rate … I hope all of that and so much more.
